Following the end of the civil war hundreds of thousands of people were displaced from their homeland (internally displaced persons or IDPs) and were housed in government-run camps. We were one of the few organisations who were allowed access to the IDP camps early to provide emergency aid including food, sanitation, water and clothing.Emergency aid for IDPs

For about 3 months we put every facility of our organisation at work to provide:

• Food: we provided two to five thousand food parcels per day

• Garments: we provided basic clothing including underwear in truck loads

• Water: we hired a truck to constantly deliver water to the camps from other areas of the country

• Infant supply: we provided key materials required to look after babies including milk powder, nappies, milk bottles and more
